Firkin' Finally!!

My Comcast was out for two freakin' days. All I wanted to do was type this... how irritating. Anywho, I got back from Otakon on Sunday night, and it was probably the best one I've been to yet. The people I stayed with were awesome (Farinella and his girlfriend and a couple of her friends). I didn't buy a whole lot, which is good, because I'm nearly broke. I got a couple of little Legend of Zelda keychains, a plushie of Ed from Cowboy Bebop, a Fullmetal Alchemist pin, a Darkstalkers figurine, and finally completed my Saint Legend comic collection. All for less than $60. I spent about $100 on food, sucks to that... I'm bringing frozen enchiladas next year. As far as programming goes, I was quite satisfied. I got to see the new Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell 2, and Howl's Moving Castle projected big on 35mm. Nice. As far as TV shows go, i fell in love with a bizarre trip called Cromartie High School... hilarious... as well as Scrapped Princess, and The Count of Monte Cristo. Overall, a satisfying weekend. Oh and for all those that remember her, I ran into Danni at a rest stop on the way home. She sorta remembered me but had to ask anyway. We talked for a while and parted ways, but i got her IM name anyway, so we can talk. That's about it for Otakon, except for the babelicious sweetheart Chris's girlfriend introduced me to. I won't say much as to not jinx myself.
On to other crap... I started up at the Gym today for the first time in about 2 years. I wasn't as weak as I thought I'd be, and actually had a pretty good starting workout, that is until got out into the parking lot where I threw up outside my car... MACHISMO!!! It was hot out and I hadn't really eaten anything, so sue me. After that, I went to Home Depot and Loew's to get the some stuff to finish my bedroom so I can live like a human being again. I tore up the carpeting and tomorrow i'm going to lay down the laminate flooring. The do-it-yourself bug runs rampant in my family. Guess it's a good thing though.

Hello there...

Wonder if you care to bump into anyone else today... Don't know if you remember me. Think freshman year, cats and Resident Evil.

How are you doing? What are you doing? And all that jazz...

Glad to hear you had a good time at Otakon... Those things can be kinda dodgy sometimes (pardon the strange word use... I am picking up a few new words from my Aussie buddies).

Anyway, I'll send a card soon and let me know if there any crazy DVD or figure that you're lookin for while I'm here.

Oh, and the thought of Chris at Otakon is just to f--kin funny. Tell the bastard to email me or else... Oh and if it makes you feel any better, I almost threw up after soccer on Tuesday night...

i've met some Aussies in my day with their colorful colloquialisms, including dodgy, and Farinella actually had blast and wound up buying a bunch of DVD's. He can now join Jeremy in the Gunsmith Cats fan club

Otakon still scares me, but everybody I know was there this past weekend. It's crazy.

Fuck it... I may go next year.

Anyway... I'm glad you survived. I hope you took many showers afterwards.

Don't worry Jeremy... I won't dress up... too much.

Comiket! And a few others... not too sure what you could go to in Northern Japan, but I can find out.

Most of them are in Tokyo or close by... but they're BIG TIME. You'd be so lost.

HEY!!!

I... know..... my....... way........ around.......
Oh, fuck! Who am I kiddin'? It'll cost a fortune to get down there, too. Let me know though... See if there are any in Sendai... It a pretty big city.

Its kinda the Philly of Japan... We even have scare black guys. And here I thought taking a fifteen hour plane flight would get me away from the cat-calls... silly me.

I ment as in lost like "10,000 japanese men running around in a small building looking for 'specials' and doujinshi" lost. I'll have to show you pictures of the convention center they hold it in... it's a amazing structure.

Yokohama is the "Philadelphia" of Japan, or so I'm already told.

Yeah.

Well, to us out in little old Kannari, Kurihara City, trust me - its the Philadelphia of Japan.
